We drive through the villages of Petra, Anaxos, Skoutaros and Filia (a visit to the turtle pool just before Skalochori is optional) to reach the Limonos Monastery (Agios Ignatios), which is located close to Kalloni. Later we pass the salt plains along the Gulf of Kalloni to come to the ancient site/ruins of Messa. After you have seen the ruins, we continue on to reach Agia Paraskevi where you can visit the olive press museum, look at some beautiful mansions and see the Kremasti bridge. We then continue our way through the village of Napi to reach Mantamados, which is known for the local pottery, traditional yoghurt, cheese and of course the Taxiarchis Monastery (Archangels Michael & Gabriel). After this we drive along the north coast where the Turkish coastline is visible and we reach the picturesque fishing village of Skala Sikamineas. Once you have finished your stroll around, we head for Molivos and return back.
